PLE post 4
The learning theory that most closely resembles my personal theory of learning is social cognitive theory. The main way that it reflects my theory of learning is through modeling. I think that math is best learned through modeling; the teacher showing how a process works or how a problem is solved and then giving the students a chance to solve it. Another example of how it reflects my theory of learning is self-regulation. Students have to take personal responsibility for their work so that they can repeat the process on the test. In this case they need to regulate how they study and keep themselves from copying homework for a few easy points.
