PLE post 6

I found the group differences forum to be very insightful.  The thing I learned that I had not considered before was how immigrants are often swallowed up by categories of multiculturalism and ESL and often aren't addressed as their own category.  I would have liked to have learned more about Ableism and how best to deal with or work with students with disabilities.  I think that the main way that the information presented will help me in the classroom is to make me aware of circumstances that the students in my room could be experiencing.  Overall, the group differences forum was extremely helpful.

I don't think that anything could have been done to help me learn more in this class; it rode the line right up to information overload but kept from going over.  It was a well structured class and a good classroom environment.
